Club Meeting 22nd February Wilson Botanic Park Cleanup
With wheel barrows, rakes and lots of happy faces we spread mulch at Wilson Botanic Park.

The annual event found us up the top near the tower.  Two big piles of mulch awaited us.  After weeding, a team with loaded wheelbarrows moved the mulch to be spread under the trees.A few members found muscles that had not been used for a while.

The usual BBQ feast followed with an entrée of yummy antipasto’s

A big thanks to Funno and Lex from Wilson Botanic Park for organising us all.

It’s amazing what you find out just walking along with people.  Adrian Funston and Gary Evans noted that RC Berwick built this bridge near the entrance to the park.

It was engineered by Max Pawsey and built the members.  It was probably done in the early 1990’s.  They said it will never fall down and a tank could be driven over it !!!

Thinking Of You
We are thinking of Bill Minns at this time.  He had a fall at home and ended up with some broken ribs and bruising.  He is currently at St John of God Hospital in Berwick after some time in Intensive Care at Dandenong.  Bill can have visitors but he is sleeping most of the time.

Secretary Adrian Froggatt will be out of action for a while as he having a hip replacement.

Alex Kraan, Switzerland. First report 20/1/17 – 20/2/17
Our outbound student Alex Kraan has settled in to Switzerland with flying colours.

He has been to German Language School, clubs, a Rotary meeting and school competition sled racing.
The main thing he wrote about was all the skiing he has been doing.
