Greetings from President Mark

I wish to thank everyone who has contributed to the wonderful Rotary Club of Berwick for the first half of the year.
All members have played a part in the success.  What a busy club we have.

Everyone should be particularly proud of the Carols by Candlelight on Saturday.  What an amazing effort.
Also the Twilight Farmers and Craft Market.  Another huge undertaking.
Next one Australia Day !!!

With best wishes for Christmas and New Year.  I hope you have a safe and happy time whatever you may be doing.
See you all at the Kraan Family BBQ in the New Year.
Carols by Candlelight 2016

What a great program!!! I am not sure what Diana Gomez-Fullaway is taking, but I want some! Diana introduced some great acts to the program, organised a terrific crowd and calmed the wind down just in time for the fireworks! What an effort.

Of course there was more to it than that. Everyone from the Club put their own time in somewhere to make the event a success. It is a carefully planned group effort and I am proud to have been a small part of it.

I am so looking forward to next year! I cannot even understand why I said that, it's a boring old Rotary event after all isn't it??? Not anymore.... Thank you Carols by Candlelight Committee for all the hard work you put in this year to pull off such a terrific show!

Farmers & Craft Market 21st December 2016
It is just great to see so many from the club sharing the load to make putting on events like this so much easier. Many hands make light work as they say.

Customer numbers appeared to be well up thanks to PP Terry cranking the marketing machine up a notch with flyers and Facebook. More and more of our members are finding and using the like, share and invite button to help raise awareness of our Farmers and Craft Market, Carols by Candlelight and Australia Day events. Getting people to our events is the key to strengthening our fund raising and peoples awareness of Rotary, what it does and how it enhances our lives while making the world a better place for others.

Above is the banner for the January Market Event on Facebook. Click on it to take you to the event. Once there, click Interested. You will find that button just under the Banner on the Facebook page. From this Event Page, you can invite your friends to the Market. January is a very hard market to get people to, so every bit of effort you can put in, no matter how small, will make a difference.
Coles Trolley Collection Boxes
The collection boxes for the Trolley Bay's at Eden Rise Shopping Centre have been installed.
The funds will go to a different group every two months.

This is a wonderful new fundraiser that should do well.
There are plans to roll it out over other supermarkets in the future.

Thanks to Trevor Barnes Signwriting (a past RC Berwick member) for the signs.
