Club Service meeting President Ricardo opened the meeting and welcomed members and guests to the club's service evening. Wheelchairs-For-Kids Past President (PP) Trevor Westland thanked the club for making a second donation to the Wheelchairs-For-Kids project, and in doing so helping it to raise in excess of $40,000 which will enable 200 wheelchairs to be delivered to children in need. PP Trevor nominated Wheelchairs-For Kids as his special project as partner of District 9820 District Governor (DG) Lynne Westland during the 2016-17. He said that he was simply overwhelmed by the support his project received from clubs across the District, and the significant change that the wheelchairs will bring to the lives of so many children and their families. Although the Partner's project is officially closed, PP Trevor will continue to work to raise awareness and funds for Wheelchairs-For Kids. Well done PP Trevor on a great effort and an excellent choice for a project. Members offer ideas and suggestions for the board to consider as part of their planning. Club Service focuses on making clubs strong. A thriving club is anchored by strong relationships and an active membership development plan.
