A small but enthusiastic group decked out in their favourite football gear enjoyed the annual Trivia night.
Thanks to Mick Morland for his questions and answers.
We had some very serious footy people who knew most of the answers. Others had no idea what was going on but it still was a fun night. It provided fun conversation around the table and great fellowship.
We also now know that Richmond’s last Grand Final win was in 1980.
Well done to the winning team of Julie Allgood, Peter Mangan, Sandi Tarant, Terry Carmichael, Sam McCurdy and David Nutter.
Our thoughts are with Gerald Treasure who is not traveling too well at the moment.
The passing of Max Walker was remembered by Rob Wingrave, Terry Carmichael and Mick Morland. They all said what a wonderful man he was, especially for his support of Rotary and particularly ROMAC. He was a speaker at a business dinner a few years ago.
Terry thanked everyone for their assistance at the market last week which took $2700. Well done.
He again asked can members please ask local businesses if they would have some of the brochures on display. The worst thing they can do is say no. Please see Trevor or Terry.
President Mark and Isobel went to the ROMAC (Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children) annual dinner hosted by the RC Seaford Carrum Downs. A total of 14 clubs from across the district were represented with over $9000 raised on the night.
Prof. Andrew Cochrane, AM spoke of his many years with ROMAC. He has treated children and adults here and in Timor Leste, specialising in cardiac surgery. A very inspiring speaker and a great Rotary project.
