Our 3 Footy Amigos (Trevor Watson, PP Adrian ‘Funno or is that Funto’ Funston and Terry Pollock) delivered a fantastic footy night! The prizes continued to be handed out for the entire evening and the 4 quarters of trivia questions saw table competing against table. No prizes for guessing that phones were out and google was being used at a number of tables!
Sergeant’s Georgie and Lochie took great joy in fining everyone at the end of the night – even their mum…for not letting them come to Rotary meetings every week!
We also celebrated Felicity and Howard’s wedding anniversary – congratulations to both of you for 48 years of marriage.
There was lots of laughter, as well as a couple of very competitive Rotarians in the room.
Out and about, Art Screen deliveries have started again, with a small team heading to Mornington on Thursday morning – thank you Terry Pollock, Wendy Moseley, Trevor Watson & PP Geoff Double for making this happen.
I know there has been a call out for any members and friends who can assist with our next Farmers’ Market on Saturday 10th October. We are still a few people short, so if you can assist, even for just a couple of hours, it would be greatly appreciated. Please let PP Jack Kraan know if you can help out.
Please remember that any uniform orders need to be completed at Totally Work Wear, in Enterprise Avenue Berwick, as soon as possible. Isobel has extended the date until the end of this month, so that no one who would like some more club uniform misses out. You can try on garments to ensure you order the correct size. Isobel will finalise the order at the beginning of October.
At this week’s meeting we have Ruby Wilson, who our Club recently sponsored for RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards). Ruby will be sharing her RYLA experience with us all.
We will also get to meet Courtney Ho, who we have sponsored to attend the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) in January next year.
As an extra bonus, and as it is a Youth night, we will have Mat Wise, President of Casey-Cardina Rotaract and a number of their members joining us. Mat is going to give us a brief rundown on what the Rotaractors are doing at the moment.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
