Transition

On the 4th of May, our Club is having a Club Service meeting to learn about what our new President has in store for the start of next Rotary year. This meeting should be exciting. We are getting ready to turn the page for a new chapter of the Rotary Club of Berwick. What sort of exciting chapter will we write?

Our Club over the past 10 years has not renewed our membership in the way it should have and that has caused an imbalance of active members able to carry out projects. We have experience, social engagement, fun and excitement but what we really need are younger members who can take the places of older members who are not able to do what they used to be able to do. Incoming President Gus will share his plan with us and if you want to learn more about what our Club can do, this is a good meeting to be at. Mick Morland Rock

On Sunday 27th March, a small team of members got together to install the rock at the Mick Morland Reserve.

Thank you to all concerned (especially our little Rotary helpers), for a job well done!

Mick's plaque will be installed closer to the official opening of the reserve.

The official opening of the Mick Morland Recreational Reserve will be held in Clyde North on Saturday 7th May at 10 am.

This is a Casey Council event. For information and RSVP please contact   events@casey.vic.gov.au or ph 97055200.

UPDATE: the following RC Berwick members have registered: Tim, Jane, David B, Graham, Sharmaine, Trevor,  Greg, Ted and Rosaleen.

Suggested to attend: All members of next year's Board not already registered and members intending to move into leadership positions in the future.

The D9820 Club Development Summit (District Assembly) will be a face to face event on Sunday 1st May at Warragul Country Club, Warragul.

This is a great opportunity for Rotarians from across our District to come together, catch up with old friends, make new ones and take on board lots of information to ensure the success of your Club in 2022 – 2023.

There will be sessions for Presidents-Elect, Secretaries, Treasurers and Presidents Nominee, together with informative and interactive sessions around Membership, Social Media, Foundation & Grants, Youth, and combined sessions for International, Vocational and Community plus Strategic Planning which also includes Club Visioning.

Newer members of Rotary are also catered for with specific sessions for them to learn more about Rotary and to encourage them to get involved in the activities and leadership of their Clubs.

A full program will be out soon, but please consider registering. It is free. Catering is provided and it is time well spent. Please register HERE
