At 5:30pm on Wednesday, 18 Rotarians and friends set out to assemble 200 birthing kits.
The goal was achieved in a productive team effort and their assembly was followed by a regular club meeting and dinner.

The items making up each kit were purchased from the Birthing Kit Foundation Australia (BKFA) and assembled in an hygienic environment with the teams working at sanitised tables wearing hygiene gloves.
Each kit consists of a zip bag containing six items, a plastic sheet, string to tie the umbilical cord, gauze, a scalpel, soap and hygiene gloves.
The kits are designed to support hygienic practices and environments during childbirth in under-resourced global settings.
This is an example of Rotarians as 'People of Action'.
