Hi David,

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier, as I have been very busy getting everything ready for my departure to the Global Mercy.

I am writing this email to you from the Global Mercy in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and the community is very excited to have the hospital opening on Monday 4th September. Our first surgery is schedule on the following Monday on the 11th of September, and we are forecasting about 2000+ surgeries will be performed on the Global Mercy for the next 10 months.

I really appreciate the warm welcome from your amazing group of Rotarians, and everyone have shown great interest in the work that we do in Africa. I look forward to coming back to visit your group again when i return in 2026.

As requested by David Button, i have attached a few photos for you to include in your news letter. One of them is the arrival of the Global Mercy at Freetown on the day that i came to speak to your group.
