On Wednesday 1st February, members and friends of the Rotary Club of Berwick completed a Working Bee at the Berwick Cemetery.
38 people engaged in various activities to clean up the cemetery. These included:
- Painting wrought iron grave surroundings
- Clearing up fallen leaves
- Pruning roses
- Watering plants
- Removing Christmas decorations and dead flowers from graves

After all the hard work, participants were rewarded with a Rotary barbecue cooked by President Jack Kraan and Graham Johnstone.
The cooked sausages, hamburgers, lamb chops and corn-on-the-cob were complemented with liquid refreshments provided by PP Funno, who did a great job in organising the Working Bee.
On a more sombre note, a minute silence was held in honour of two recently deceased Past Presidents of the Club, namely Gerald Treasure (1997-1998) and Dr Graham Tudge (2002-2003).
