A Rotary Club of Berwick group met at Buchanan Park in Berwick on Sunday with a common purpose, which was to help clean up Australia.
The group was made up of Rotarians, students from the Interact Club of St Margaret Berwick Grammar and their relatives or friends.
In beautiful warm and sunny weather, the group collected 10.82 g of rubbish and 1.64 kg of recyclable material, in addition to two damaged shopping trolleys, a road sign and a small wooden pallet.
This was significantly less rubbish than was collected at the park last year, which is a promising change for the better.
Thank you to all those who took part in the clean-up, which was coordinated by Rotarian Mary McIvor.
