As we enter the second half of the Rotary year, Co-President Geoff and I are looking forward to sharing with all members a balanced program of community service, fellowship and Rotary information.
After starting the calendar year enjoying fellowship at the family BBQ, we now move onto an activity that encompasses what I enjoy most about being a Rotarian, community service combined with fellowship. Our annual cemetery clean-up and BBQ provides us with this opportunity. I encourage all members to come along, pitch in and enjoy the activity. Family and friends will all be welcome. Back when I was President in 1992/93, the Club had 39 members and 28 attended the cemetery clean up. Let’s see if we can get a similar attendance.
Past President David has been granted leave of absence from the Club due to business commitments. Consequently, we have needed a new bulletin editor and Sam has agreed to take on this role for the remainder of the Rotary year. Thank you, Sam. Sam can’t provide a bulletin unless he has material to include. Please help by providing some interesting articles.
One of the keys to a successful club is good communication and our bulletin is the ideal vehicle for this. Please support the bulletin editor.
