Rotary International and District 9820 Rotary Tree Project 2017-18 – This year, as part of the District Governor’s Spouse Project, June Ripper has followed Rotary International President Ian Riseley’s challenge that every Rotarian should plant a tree by Earth Day on 22nd April. Working closely with the City of Casey, the 2nd of June 2018 has been set aside for members and friends of the Rotary Club of Berwick to plant some 65 trees at Kurll Park Reserve. Although we would have liked to meet the RI’s 22nd of April deadline, it was important to work with Council to ensure that the project aligned with their sustainable tree planting program. Following the tree planting there will be a BBQ.

Multi District Conference 15-17 February 2019 – “TOGETHER, WE INSPIRE” is the theme for next year’s Multi District Conference. For the very first time four of the five districts in Victoria will hold joint conferences at Melbourne’s premier venue – The Melbourne Convention Centre. Inspired by the theme, eighteen Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Berwick have already booked their accommodation at the Pan Pacific Hotel, right in the thick of the action. The Multi District Conference will be one of the most important gatherings of Victorian Rotarians in a very long time. Well done to the four District Governors Elect and their teams for choosing to unite Rotarians together in this way. Registration opens on 1 July 2018. Club members are encouraged to come join us what will no doubt be an amazing Rotary experience!
