What a great turnup last night!   So many members, were the two AGMs really so interesting?   The room was a buzz.   Were there going to be lots of questions about our finances?   No, everyone just made the night fun!
After Sergeant Funno opened the meeting, Pres Tim filled the members in on the deliberations of the board meeting.   Please note all previous board minutes are on our website under Members Services – Club Documents.   You do need to login to access (see PP David B if you have issues).   It was great for treasurer Andrew to go over the thinking behind our fees.  Thank you to all for your agreement.  It is planned that the second half year invoices will go out to members early in December for payment by 31st December 2022.

Congrats to President Elect David Anderson, President Elect Nominee Andrew Somers and our President-Elect Nominee Designate,  Jenny Marshall, on their election by the members.   The club is in good hands, plus it is heartening to see so many of our newer members taking on roles.

Please don't forget to book for Eric and Wendy Boon's Travel Guide next week: https://rotaryberwick.org/event/travel-guide-partners-night--ski-slopes-with-isfr/
Our last meeting for 2022 is on 14th December, with Berwick Secondary Principal Kerry Bolch. The New Year starts back at the traditional Kraan's BBQ on the 18th of January, 25th of January no meeting, then the 1st Feb in the Berwick Cemetery cleanup.

It was also pleasing to see the interest in next year’s Rotary Convention in Melbourne.  The last one in Melbourne was in 1993.  A few video links and a brief presentation on the reasons for attending local events then followed.   We have several of the members and partners already booked, please note the price goes up after 15th December by $100US.

And some special photos courtesy of Club Photographer Sandi. It is never easy butting in on a conversation to take a photo, but Sandi manages to do it and captures some interesting shots from time to time. I think some members are getting a little cheekier than Sandi would like, we all enjoy some fun, a bit of a yarn, a drink and all that goes with being amongst people you are in tune with.

It was a great night out. Food, fellowship and information were terrific. Top job Sandi on capturing a glimpse!
