It is certainly changeover season at the moment!
I hope you all saw the write up about our Club's changeover in the local paper on Wednesday.
On Tuesday Geoff and I went to the changeover of the Rotary Club of Greater Dandenong and Endeavour Hills. It was a lovely evening, with Leanne Byron being inducted as the President of the club, for her second time. It was great to catch up with many of our friends there.
On Saturday night David, Funno, Jill, Andrew, Michele, Geoff and I were at the District Changeover. Our new District Governor, Emma Clark, was both proud and excited to be inducted at the event.
We were very proud to see that PP David Button, continues in his role as District Communications Chair. David has done an exceptional job over the last few years, and we look forward to seeing more of his creativity throughout the coming year.
Here are just a couple of 'Save the Date' events coming up over the next few months:
Wednesday 5th August - We are going to rug up, catch the train and head into the Winter Night Market at the Queen Vic Market. See the flyer for all the details.
Sunday 25th October.
We have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at Marengo Redoubt, a small winery in Moorooduc, owed by Rotarians Ros and Andy from the Rotary Club of Noble Park. Some of you may remember going there many years ago (I think it was the hottest summer day on record and we all sweltered by the pool). They are going to put on a special lunch for us, complete with some of their lovely wines for $40pp. Well worth the trip.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday and learning more about the Wild Desert Project from Robin.
Cheers,
Di
