What a fabulous and fun night we had from sombreros to unicorns, pirates to mad hatters! And a fantastic and informative presentation from what looks like two cowboys, but was actually local Akoonah Ward Councillor Scott Dowling and CEO of the City of Casey Glenn Patterson. Scott and Glenn shared some updates from the Council, what has changed now that we have elected Councillors back and a few challenges and successes around Council.
Penny did a fabulous job creating the chaos with a hat parade, I still think Gus in Viviana's hat was my personal favourite. Thank you to everyone for coming along and for your donation to the Lift the Lid campaign, raising funds and awareness for the 1 in 5 Australians suffering from mental health issues.
This week we are off to Disaster Aid Australia. Our members will be treated to a tour and dinner to learn about the amazing work DAA does in providing Skyhydrants around the world to provide clean drinking water to thousands of people.
