President's Ramblings
Hello,

Last Week
What a busy meeting we had back at Holm Park. It was wonderful to see so many people this week. We successfully completed both AGMs for the club and the Benevolent Society. We also had a visit from past Youth Exchange Student Lisa Bayer. Lisa is from Germany and was hosted by the Double's, the Button's and Steve and I back in 2016-17. Lisa is currently studying medicine and is living in Sydney for 4 months completing her research project.

Other exciting news this week - we have a new shed! Last Saturday an amazing group of members worked hard to empty our old shed in Narre Warren and unpack and rehome the club in the new shed. The new shed is located on the grounds of the Old Cheese Factory, Homestead Road, Berwick. Thank you again to everyone who assisted on the day. Reminder for those looking for a shed key, the key holders are Andrew, Jack, Trevor and Russell.

Russell and the rest of the RORP crew were busy harvesting a playground in Cannons Creek on Thursday. We have a couple more to go so if you can assist please reach out to Russell.

On Saturday night, Dave and Judy Button celebrated the wedding of their daughter Saffron. Thank you to the members that attended on Saturday afternoon to help out at the event. I hope the Button's had a fabulous day.

Next Week
This week we are back at Holm Park to hear from the one and only Funno (aka Funto). Funno will be taking us through a history of photos showing the Funston Family's history in Berwick. Hope to see you all there again this week.

On Tuesday I will be attending the Berwick College presentation night to present the Dux of the College with a gift card on behalf of the Rotary Club.

Operation Newstart has its next graduation this Tuesday 2 December, anyone interested in attending to represent the club is encouraged to attend. It is a high quality, meaningful and life changing program to support.

Coming Up
On Wednesday 10 December we will have our last meeting of the year. The Christmas party at Shanikas Pakenham. Steve and I are looking forward to celebrating the end of a wonderful year with you.

Everyone is invited to the screening of the District 9815 Rotary commercial, which will be shown at cinemas throughout the district. The first screening of the commercial will be played on Friday 12 December at Brighton before the movie The Choral. This will be a big Rotary event for the district.  See the invite below for details.

Thanks

Jen
