This week we welcomed PDG Bob Richards OAM to our meeting. Bob is one of our District Insurance officers. Bob did a great job engaging with our members to ensure we understand the importance of insurance, what it covers and also what it doesn't. This was a fabulous opportunity for our Club Protection Officer Di Scheepers to understand her role for our club.

Next Week's Meeting
After cancelling in August, we have rescheduled Shannon Garrett for our meeting this week. Shannon will be sharing his story of being diagnosed with DIPG, a rare cancer, generally affecting children aged 5-10. Shannon has challenged himself to raise $100,000 for RUN DIPG - a charity dedicated to improving outcomes for patients impacted by this childhood brain cancer. In July Shannon completed Tour Du Mont Blanc hike to raise awareness for his challenge. Shannon will be sharing this journey with our club. Tonight the funds we raise in our Sargent's session will be donated to Shannon's fundraiser. So join us for an interesting and inspiring night. Friends and partners are welcome.

The following week is the 1 October - reminder this is VISIT ANOTHER CLUB WEEK!
There is NO MEETING at Holm Park. Instead members are encouraged to book into another club's meeting this week. So this week pair up with a buddy and work out where you will visit. Here are some options locally, but for those willing to travel a little further, I look forward to seeing how far we can go!
