President's Ramblings
Hello,

Last Week
I hope you all enjoyed your Melbourne Cup week and for those that attend the Inner Wheel Oaks Day I hope you had a fabulous day and picked a winning horse. On Wednesday night some of our members headed up to the Pine Grove Hotel in Upper Beaconsfield for a social evening for parma night.

Wonderful news this week, we received notification that we were successful in receiving a district grant to send a shipping container over to Balibo, Timor Leste. The container will contain playgrounds, and educational resources for the local school.

This Week
This week a few of our members are heading to the Rotary Club of Rowville-Lysterfield for a Rotary Foundation Presentation by Alma Reynolds for Foundation Month. This meeting will be held on Tuesday 11 November so there is no meeting on the 12 November.

Coming Up
We are heading into the Christmas Season so we will be putting out Christmas collection cages to local schools and shopping centres soon. If you are able to assist with emptying cages over the next few weeks please let me know.

Also this Wednesday 12 November we are harvesting two small RORP playgrounds at Linda Crescent, Cranbourne West. Anyone free for a few hours on Wednesday morning from 7:30am onwards please reach out to Russell Fellows.

Next week we will be venturing over to Upwey to the Running Rabbits Military Museum at het Upwey Belgrave RSL, with dinner at het RSL afterwards. This is to commemorate Remembrance Day tomorrow.

Have a great week,

Jen
