Welcome to our vibrant and relaxed Rotary Club, where community spirit thrives alongside a sense of ease and camaraderie. Picture a place where laughter mingles with purpose and friendships are forged through shared experiences and meaningful endeavours.
Well we’ve had a couple of weeks away from regular club meetings, following our wildly successful Pizza and Past Night and then last week we took a night off as Vicky and Bob headed off on their well earned cruising vacation.
Christmas is well and truly approaching fast and our annual Christmas Collection in support of Casey North Community Information and Support Services is in full swing. This year we once again have several local schools participating and collection cages have been placed at the following local shopping centres:
Berwick Marketplace – Outside Woolworths
Eden Rise – Outside Coles.
We will also be accepting donations from club members at our AGM on November 27th.
On Saturday night, Michele and I attended the Colour Their Lives Gala Ball in support of the District Governor Partner Project – Monash Children’s Hospital Cancer Centre. The night was well supported, had a great range of guest speakers and importantly raised much needed funds in support of this great cause.
As we head to the pointy end of the year, we have only a few weeks left. This week, Nov 20th, we follow on from Remembrance Day as our guest speaker is Ray Heathcote from the Berwick RSL. Ray will be telling us about how the RSL uses funds raised from the annual Remembrance Day Appeal to support service veterans and their families. Come along to hear Ray speak. I’m sure it will be most informative.
The following week , Nov 27th, we will be having our AGMs for both the Rotary Club of Berwick and the Rotary Berwick And District Benevolent Society.
Then finally it’s our Christmas Party on December 4th. Numbers are filling fast and we have only a couple of places left. First in, best dressed.
