August 18th - DGE Murray Wilson Bail Justice
This week, our guest speaker is District Governor Elect - Murray Wilson, who will be telling us all about his role as a Bail Justice.
A Bail Justice in Victoria is an appointed volunteer who hears after-hours bail and remand applications when the courts are closed.
Murray is one of a number of Bail Justice’s who provide an essential service to police, assessing whether adults or children in custody should be released or remanded until their first court hearing.
This will also be a great opportunity for us all to get to know our DGE Murray.
