20 May - RORP and Heartprint
Over the past few years our club has helped harvest playgrounds to be sent overseas to places like South Africa, Cambodia and Sri Lanka.
This week Russell and Trudy Poole from the Rotary Club of Peninsula 2.0 will tell us about their involvement with the Australian-founded non-profit Heartprint.
The initiative called, Play It Forward, aims to give underprivileged children access to safe and imaginative spaces for play.
Heartprint’s mission is clear: to repurpose and refurbish decommissioned playgrounds that would otherwise be sent to landfill, and relocate them to communities in need in Cambodia.
