On May 3rd this year, the Rotary Club of Berwick had officially been serving our community for 62 years, so a birthday celebration was held at the Double's residence in Pakenham on Saturday 6th May.

Not even the shocking weather on Saturday night deterred members from getting together to celebrate with our ‘Pasta, Plonk and Poetry’ night.

Good food, with a delicious selection of pastas from Shanikas, great fellowship, accompanied by a glass or three of wine, and a varied selection of poetry, was the perfect recipe for a great evening.

Our longest serving member in attendance on the night (and current Co-President), Jack Kraan, together with our newest member, Michele Somers, cut the birthday cake. This was followed by an extremely tuneful rendition of happy birthday.

Thank you to everyone for braving the rain and the cold to join in the celebrations.
