President Ricardo thanked the Board and the Club members for their support throughout the year, in what he described as an amazing experience.

He reported that the Club has been very active in many and various service endeavours, but also in our fundraising activities.  As a result, we will be able to distribute approximately $75,000 to various domestic and international Rotary causes, and perhaps most importantly to worthy causes within our local community.

Six new members have been inducted into the Club, including an unprecedented quadruple induction ceremony on 8th November.  Unfortunately, we also lost three members from the Club for various reasons and two others moved to other Clubs, but are still Rotarians.

During the year, nine Paul Harris Fellowships were presented, four of which were to deserving members of the community.  All the recipents exemplify the principles of 'Service Above Self'.  Two of the recipients, namely Isobel Caulfield and David Button, have also accepted nominations as President Elect Nominee (Isobel) and President Elect Nominee Designate (David).

Ricardo offered special thanks to other key members of the Club who had provided meritorius service throughout the year.  He also thanked the Club Sponsors, St John of God Hospital Berwick and Beaconsfield District Community Bank, for their ongoing support.

Finally, he thanked his wife Lisemay for her unconditional support not only during his year as President, but also in all his endeavours.
Ricardo will serve on the 2018-2019 Board as the Public Image Director and pledged his support to incoming President Lea Paton.
