Launch of the “Polio Plus Society”

What is it?
The “PPS” Member commits to a donation of $US100 (about $AUD160) annually until Polio is eradicated from the world.
This is a new group having only launched international a few months ago.
Our District’s Foundation Chair, PDG Mark Humphries, is gung-ho about getting this special group up and running in both D9820 and our sister D9810.
Of course, we’ll be the one district in just over eight months so it makes sense to have a joint connection.
Rob Cook (Somerville Tyabb) is leading the team organising the launch event.

What are we doing and when is it?
Members of both Districts, and anyone else who is committed to ending polio, will be attending the “Grand Ridge Brewery” for an afternoon social launch event.
To be held on Sunday, November 12 from 12noon to 5pm.
The Brewery is at 1 Baromi Road, Mirboo North, just next door to the Home Hardware store.
The price is $40 per person with drinks at bar prices.
I was at the venue today and the facilities are sensational.
There’ll be chairs scattered around but the idea is to circulate and meet new friends who have a common interest.
I could write about this special event until the cows come home by why not just have a look at the attached flyer.
We have set a limit of 100 attendees so please book the date in your planner and book your spaces at . . .
PS: The management of the “GRB” will donate to Polio $5 per person who attends.
