This coming Wednesday, our District Governor, Paul Mee (in case you haven't heard), will be visiting our club. DG Paul is a very passionate and vibrant man about Rotary, what it does and what it can do, especially at a Club level. Our District, 9820 is but one cog in the huge wheel of Rotary, and it will soon be combined with District 9810 to make a new super District 9815. I hope DG Paul will have some things to say about that.
More importantly, is information about our upcoming District Conference in February. Members of our Club used to be strong supporters of the District Conference and the opportunities that developing Rotary networks beyond the Club level provides. We only have two District 9820 Conferences left (2023 and 2024) before our merger with D9810 is complete. If you are not signed up with the Rotary International Convention in Melbourne, then please consider coming to our own District Conference.
It is a mark of respect to show up for the District Governor Club visit. Becoming a District Governor is a difficult journey and a lot of commitment at best.
Please make an effort to attend and learn about the bigger picture of Rotary. Anyone is welcome, including people interested in learning more about Rotary from higher up the tree (so to speak). Twenty-five dollars for a two-course meal, drinks at bar prices, plus a great venue and friendly Rotarians thrown in for FREE!
