This week’s meeting began with us taking a moment to remember one very special past member of our club, Sandi Tarant, who passed away last Sunday, after a short illness.
Sandi joined the Rotary Club of Berwick in December 2008 and was a passionate, proud and active member of our Club. In 2025 Sandi’s health declined and her sons moved her to a care facility closer to where one of them lived, across the other side of town.
During her time in Rotary Sandi was bulletin editor, club photographer, sold Joker’s Wild tickets and was a great supporter of our annual Berwick College Debutant Balls. She helped out wherever she could and eagerly attended meeting every week that she was able to.
Those who knew Sandi, knew her proudest moment in Rotary was when she was recognised by the club for all her work with a Paul Harris Fellow.
