I want to believe that Rotary is not all about the BBQ. Someone has to feed the masses, and there is a calling there for sure.

But our time and efforts must account for something more. Something that changes lives and creates a better future for others. Our work helping to build a hospital in Halmahera, Indonesia, is a good example. Many people have benefited from our efforts, although individually, RCB Rotarians did not have to do much to make it happen. Have a look here: https://rotaryberwick.org/sitepage/halmahera to learn more, but more importantly, check out the hospital's Facebook page to see what has happened since we finished.

The difference we have made in conjunction with others has also been significant in Balibo, Timor Leste. Have a look here: https://rotaryberwick.org/Search/Balibo

The Rotary Club of Berwick has made a difference in many communities over the years, and our work has been appreciated both near and far. So think past the BBQ (while you are helping at the BBQ) and make the world a better place through using the power of the Rotary machine.

The simple act of planting a few trees THIS WEEKEND at Grasmere followed by a BBQ lunch brings the Rotary World into balance.  Life-changing work, creating a better environment and improved living space, followed by a tremendous Rotary BBQ with fellowship thrown in for free. It doesn't get any better than that!
